My Favorite Things

Last week, I found myself having a hard time motivating myself to plunge into a WOD. I was tired, had a long day at work, and shoot, it was COLD out! It happens from time to time to all of us. Recognizing the lack of motivation and allowing yourself to feel that way is ok…but you need to find ways around it.
Personally, I have a hard time passing up any WODs with Oly Lifts in them. I also heart box jumps. So, that day, I decided to pick some of my favorite things (and a few goats) and got my mind right. I ended up with the following:
100 Box Jumps (20″)
100 Hang Power Cleans (73#)
100 Push Ups (goat)
100 Dubs (goat)
It’s a good idea to identify your goats as well as your favorite movements. Attack them both. And sometimes, it’s ok to treat yourselves to a WOD with your favorite things, but throw in some ‘suck’ by upping the reps, load, or by adding a goat. Then all you need is a good friend to yell 3-2-1-Go!
