The MHE

AKA Pukie

AKA Pukie

Fave Movement: Kipping Pull Ups
Least Fave Movement: Thrusters, PJ, and Cleans (Michael was quite diplomatic and said that these were not least favorite as much as movements he wanted to improve on!!)
CF Goals: “Slap “Cindy” on the ass and tell that bitch I own her.” Get to 145-150#s, 50 Dubs, Qual for REgionals!!
Best CF Achievement: Getting stronger mentally and physically.

Michael was baptized by CrossFit fire when he joined us in Fight Gone Bad for his FIRST WOD ever! Although his first thought afterwards was “F that, I’m not going back,” he knew he had no choice. That day, he drank the Kool-Aid and has been sharing it with everyone he knows! Since September, Michael has brought us Stephanie, Gilberto, Nick H., and Kristen. He’s also tempted fate (and the wrath of the coaches) by calling workouts “easy” and saying things like “that’s it?” He welcomed the WODs we threw at him in response and crushed those accordingly.

Never a dull moment in Michael’s schedule, he can be found at rock concerts, hip nightclubs, dog whispering, rock climbing, and traveling the world when he’s not CrossFitting. Michael’s contributions to our gym go beyond raising morale and challenging the coaches. Soon, we’ll see a new and really improved website and new and improved tunes to WOD to because of him. So, we Intrepids wish you a very very happy birthday, Michael and can’t wait to see your gains in CF this next year!!!

Michael made the mistake of calling a WOD “easy” and the coaches took heed. Subsequently, everyone was punished with a proper WOD the next day due to the MHE or “Michael Hyunh Effect” and Michael didn’t even show!! =) Don’t worry, he ended up doing “Michael” (the hero WOD) the next day and CRUSHED it.
