As promised, I rented Food, Inc this past weekend (note to Hollywood Video: please put this movie in its proper category of HORROR next to Nightmare on Elm St). This movie exposes our food industry and its unethical, corrupt, and downright schoolyard bully practices. While I am by no means the type to give away the ending of any movie, so I’ll let you watch the trailer above and hopefully, you’ll venture out and rent this must-see to change your lives.

I know that after this movie, I have been looking up local farmers for 100% grass fed meat as well as organic fruit. Stay tuned on Friday for a farmer’s market review!

I was annoyed that Food Inc was so hard to see in the theaters. It had a very limited Theatrical release. Luckily more people can see it now that it’s on DVD. Of course, only those people who are open to its message will actually see it. Hopefully some of the premium cable channels will carry it to help spread the message to a larger audience. I haven’t seen it yet, and I’m a bit afraid of what it’s going to tell me, but hopefully I’ll get a chance to check it out this week.

Can’t wait for a Farmer’s Market review….where is the best Kettle Corm? :)

Yay Anna! Sooooon, this will no longer be an anomaly.

Scott, yeah, I’m sure it’s no mistake that the movie was made inaccessible. I’m looking to get a copy for the gym, so if you don’t catch it soon, let me know! Hmmm, care to come up with a recipe for “paleo kettle corn?”

I just rented this today and it’s just as horrific as you say Ruth. It’s scary to think just how hard it is to avoid all the genetically altered foods out there. That local farmers link you posted has been amazingly helpful. I also recall this link from SoCal SC that can be useful for finding products from pasture-based farms as well.
