The coaches here at Intrepid are going to be encouraging all of you to take some time after the day’s WOD to speed your recuperation. We have a couple of foam rollers in the gym with more on the way. There are also several lacrosse balls in the bin by your logbooks. While some of you may want to rush out the door after the workout, we’d encourage you to be kind to your muscles and spend a few minutes stretching and practicing SMR. No clue what SMR is? Check out Ruth’s post from the early days of Intrepid. While the staff at Intrepid are all happy to show you some various stretches or SMR techniques, here’s a link to a variety of ways to attack your soreness with the foam roller. Thanks for posting the videos Marcus. I felt inspired and rolled out my quads this morning. I’ve been neglecting the foam roller lately and was reminded with each knot I found how important it is to get time on the roller.
