This article in Mark’s Daily Apple talks about your genetics and the role they play in your fitness. There is no denying that some people are gifted with not only sick athletic talent, but also the ability to reach their potential genetic limits. It is a beautiful thing to behold an athlete in his element, performing at his best. We get to see such talent especially now during the Olympics.
So, with that said, much of your fitness has to do with the choices you make everyday. Do you train enough/too much? What are you eating? Am you sleeping enough? Do you attack your goats or only play in your comfort zone? Do you value integrity in form and range of motion over checking the PR box? Mark posted these pictures to show how choices affected a pair of identical twins in life:
