Those of you who have been in to workout on Monday or Tuesday undoubtedly saw the new rings we installed over the weekend hanging from the ceiling.  The two new sets of rings will allow us to practice many new gymnastics movements that were difficult or not possible on the rings hanging from the pullup bars.  Besides the rings at least 1 new rope will be installed in the near future for us to play on, and per Dustin’s request we’ll do our best to also install a bell at the top of the rope for you to ring each ascent ;-)

In the background you may also notice the new gym shirts hanging from the rafters.  Men’s and women’s shirts are for sale and go for $20.  You may also order a shirt online through our online store for the $20 regular price plus a shipping fee.  The shirts are going fast and the next version is sure to have a modified design, so get your first edition CF Intrepid shirt now before they run out!

We bought the rings from http://www.ringtraining.com. The shirts can be found by clicking the link in the post (or the schedule tab at the top) and then click the online store tab in the upper right.

Hey do you think the EXF gymnastic rings would fit on the power racks at Panther Creek High School?

Certainly the rings will work on the power racks. Besides the two sets of rings hanging from the ceiling we have 4 sets of rings on our power racks too. We use these for ring dips, ring pushups, ring rows, ring pullups, ring support, l-sits, and for teaching the muscle-up, front lever, and back lever progressions. You can do a ton of stuff with rings on racks because they’re adjustable and can be slid to the side so they’re out of the way when not in use.

Sean, I gotta say you just reminded me of Bubba Gump with all those ring variations… “There’s pineapple shrimp, lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp, shrimp soup, shrimp stew…”
