A big happy birthday to our beloved trainer Marcus, who turns–er…25 today! Also known as the Paleo Police, Marcus has indeed extended most of our lifetimes by guilting us into eating better. Whether it’s his not-so-subtle hints about gluten consumption, or his even gaze judging us while we try to justify a paleo-ish meal, I do believe he’s got most people thinking WWMD? (What would Marcus do?) before taking a bite.

What we love most about Marcus, though is his dedication to making us all better athletes.  If you all only knew how excited he gets when you guys PR on something!  I got text messages at 8:01pm when Becky got her first handstand, when Jake got his first 300+ deadlift set, or whenever he saw improved movement in anyone’s lifts.

Hobbies outside of CrossFit include: beating me in Words With Friends with made-up words, playing hooky to go tear up the slopes at Big Bear, and photographing random celebs at basketball games. One of his greatest contributions to CrossFit this year is getting his mom, Sandi (Intrepid’s newest badass), to wod with us.

Since Marcus is a closet country music fan, feel free to blast your favorite country musician/band during class today!
