It’s official, guys!  Justin Lascek and AC of 70′s Big will hail all the way from Wichita Falls, TX on Saturday, August 7th to give a seminar on the importance of building strength (not just useless beach muscles!)  They’ve been on the road, trying to save the world from the plight of the 90′s small mentality, where frail and weak are hailed over big and strong; where the archetype of today’s Adonis looks emaciated, gaunt, and undernourished;  where men wear skinny jeans and can’t squat below parallel.  Ladies, don’t believe for a second that this seminar is for the boys only. Getting 70′s big for us means beautiful sculpted bodies and greater bone density (best way to fight osteoporosis!).

In his own words, Justin says,“The 70′s Big Work Shop will be an interactive lecture for trainees and coaches presented by people who train and coach. Being 70′s Big is all about being strong, and the topics will cover basic fundamentals of strength training, how to help different sized athletes get stronger, dispelling myths about training and popular culture, how to deal with set backs and injuries, how to program strength training into an athlete’s goals, and, most importantly, teaching little quirks about training that take some people years to understand. All this and more for only $85! The workshop is adaptable to the needs and inquiries of the audience to ensure a comprehensive workshop. The presenters are national caliber lifters who have learned from coaches all around the country. They have the experience, they have the know-how, and they like to have a good time. * The effect of strength on other physical attributes
* How to start or continue training in a smart, efficient manner

* Programming guidelines
* Routines, Rituals, and Training Quirks
* Food plans

Great job last night Pooja! Excellent effort on the WOD and thanks for pushing me.

12:00-6:30 – 6.5 hours sleeping

What if you are already 70s big?? :) Just kidding. Looking forward to the seminar. Just be sure to remind them that CFI peeps want to be 70s strong AND have all the beach muscles. We do spend 90% of our free time half naked on the beach after all!! :)
