There’s been a lot of happenings lately here at Intrepid and I wanted to post some updates on future events. If you haven’t heard, CrossFit Coronado postponed their Intermediates Competition to the fall mainly because CrossFit Next Level Performance will be hosting a competition on August 14th. Their last competition brought out some firebreathers!

Also just a reminder that Justin and AC from 70s Big will be out here to do a seminar for us on August 7th. Don’t forget to sign up soon! They’ve also offered to be available for private training if anyone is interested. Just post to comments or shoot me an email for details!

CrossFit 714 announced “Clash of the Affiliates,” an affiliate team competition comprised of 6 members (2 alternates and a minimum of 2 females) that will be held in Orange County of Sept 11. If you’re interested, post to comments! Registration began last week!

Many of you have been/are training for some type of endurance sport recently. Sean and I will be going to an Endurance Seminar at the end of this month, so if anyone is interested in going with or have any questions about how to train for your next triathlon, marathon, etc, let us know.

The results were calculated by total weight lifted, but modified based on relative difficulty of the lift. The Squat counted for 1, Bench for 1.5, and Deadlift for 0.75.

I’m interested in the affiliate cup. The last one I saw was teams of six but they were allowed to switch who competed in each of the three competitions. Will it be like that?

I believe so but there has to be 2 men and 2 women at all times. Their flyer mentioned swimming?!

Isn’t Jake disqualified because he only benched 185#? And Drew is ineligible because he’s too tall. That’s like cheating or something. So, really….I WIN! I WIN!! :)

The best thing about the June challenge is that there were more Women competitors than Men :)

Congrats everyone! King Delgado takes the cup again. Damn Becky 60? Insane!

I’m in for the affiliate but probably as an alternative at this point until I can get these kinks out of my lower back.
