Yesterday we presented the top finishing women for the Whole 30 challenge and today we will cover the men. As I mentioned yesterday, take the below photos with a grain of salt. While there are some impressive physique changes, they were only one portion of how the contestants were scored. Without further ado…

In third place, we have Patrick! While he chose to immediately partake of an In-n-Out burger with bun once the challenge was over, he definitely put his work in during the month.  Patrick improved his deadlift by 15.6#, went from 6 to 10 pull ups, and knocked 14 seconds off his run time!  Looks like we have the makings of another power couple in the house!

Taking second place is Jon! He has made some great progress since first finding us at the Franklin location, and convinced others to join along the way. What’s most impressive is that he managed to avoid temptation despite having little ones who assuredly enjoyed some treats over the last 30 days.  Jon came in first overall  in the baseline WOD in the deadlift, pulling an impressive 445#.  He then improved it by 42#, increased his pull ups from 10 to 14, and knocked 7 seconds off his run time.

And in first place is Dan! Not only did he sneak into a win of the Intrepid fantasy football league, but he managed to get absolutely ripped over the last month! What’s most surprising is I recall Dan telling me how reluctant he was to eat Paleo, despite Alicia’s attempts to get him to give it a try.  Dan came in first overall in the entire baseline WOD, with a 360# deadlift, 14 pull ups, and a run time of 1:46 (2nd in the run).  He then increased his pull ups by 4 and knocked 15 seconds off his run time!

Congrats to all of our 29 participants! Hopefully you feel that you got as much out of the challenge as you put in. We are so proud of you guys for stepping up and making a difference in your health and wellness.  Thank you for playing along!  Results of the baseline and finale WODs will be posted in the gym for you guys to see.

We’re really interested in hearing from all W30 participants about what you learned, how you feel, and any advice you have to give to everyone else.  Please email [email protected] with any input.  Honorable mentions will be posted Monday.

*we also updated yesterday’s post with the women’s performances and improvements as well*

Thanks Everyone! I really learned a ton. The allergies I thought i’d had the last 10 years, i realize may be due to gluten. Unbelievable the things you discover even this late in life:) Congrats to everyone else, hell of a job!
