CrossFit Intrepid seeks not only to enable the community of El Segundo to achieve their fitness goals, but to improve their lifestyles through proper nutrition and recovery. We stress high intensity training that is scalable for every individual and only load weights proportionate to skill and strength levels. Every workout is a gut check for every athlete from soccer mom to soldier, from junior high student to senior citizen.

Recently, CrossFit Intrepid has had the opportunity to work with LAPD’s Harbor Youth Challenge Academy along with CrossFit South Bay in a ten week long “boot camp” style program. We provided the physical training (PT) for 65 children ages 7-17 for three grueling hours each Saturday. The workouts progressed from a basic training style calisthenic program to a team building, CrossFit style workout that gave each kid a chance to discover their athletic ability. Some discovered they excelled in speed, other in strength, and still others in agility. We hope to continue training with our kids after the program comes to an end.
