With the Intrepid Games fast approaching (less than a month away), it’s time to announce the movements that may be employed that day.  A while back we posted on the movements required for each division, so hopefully you’ve been working on your goats.  If you want to bump up a division, now is the time!

These are the movements that we’re picking from for the WODs.  A bulk of these, if not all, will be utilized at the competition.  For those of you who are volunteering as judges, please familiarize yourselves with the range of motion standards for these movements.  Each week we’ll be releasing a standards video for a few movements, narrowing down the below list, so in the meantime, work on any that you’re not comfortable with.

Without further adieu:

  • Row
  • Box Jumps
  • Clean
  • Kettlebell Snatches (Open)
  • Squat Jumps
  • Wall Ball Shots
  • Kettlebell Swings
  • Burpees
  • Toes to Bar (Scaled & Open)
  • 3/4 Body Weight Deadlift
  • 3/4 Body Weight Back Squat (Scaled)
  • 3/4 Body Weight Overhead Squat (Open)
  • Double Unders (Scaled & Open)
  • Jerk

Post any questions (not gripes) to comments!

Also, we are currently closed Monday for Labor Day, but if there’s enough interest in a 9am and/or 10am class, we’ll open it up.  Post to comments and let us know which time you would prefer.

WOD 08.31.12

Back Squat 3×5

4 Rounds:
240m Run
12 Kettlebell Swings
10 Goblet Squats

What about the one-armed bandit division?

I think I’ll be able to come back (YEAH!) for Monday’s routine. I’m voting for 10 am.

Does this mean that we will have to weigh in at the time of registration? If I cut my hair and rock the speedo, I may be able to shave 1.57lbs off my rx’d deadlift and backsquat.

@Jon: HAHA, the speedo will also give you low drag.

Looks like I have some goats to slay before this competition.
