With locations in El Segundo and Torrance, you may have already seen a Habit Burger and wondered how healthy it can be. I’m happy to report that I have offered myself up as a guinea pig for your benefit. As far as their burgers go, they compare somewhat to In n Out with a slightly larger menu. You can get your burger lettuce-wrapped instead of a bun and the lettuce is much more substantial than the single leaf you get at In n Out. There is also the option to add bacon or even avocado — but beware that the price will add up quickly! Here’s an example of a double burger on lettuce with avocado that I paired with an apple for lunch:

Other intriguing items they offer are a tri-tip and an albacore tuna sandwich. I haven’t tried either, but the albacore was given high praise, so please post to comments if you’ve tried anything else on the menu!

What a great idea to post about the habit! Where would you get this incredible idea? I didn’t think you had it in you :) .

I’ve had the albacore sandwich! While it is far from paleo it is delicious on grilled sourdough. Cheat day! Cheat day!!

@Anna – yes, thanks for the idea. Luckily I still had a pic on my phone from the last time I visited there! The albacore should be fine if you scrap the sourdough, right?
